Sun, Feb. 10, Leaps of Faith Documentary Screening #2 at 6:00 pm

  • 625 West Adams Street Chicago, IL, 60661 United States (map)

What happens when faith is tested by love, and love is tested by faith?  80% of Reform Jews who got married in the last 5 years intermarried, and a majority of American Jews today are partnered with someone of a different cultural or religious background. In a world that can seem increasingly polarized and tribal, interfaith families are crossing borders. The documentary Leaps of Faiths traces several paths: practicing a single faith and sharing both… what that looks like, and whether it’s possible.

In anticipation of its inclusion in Chicago Jewish Film Festival in March, there will be two free world-premiere screenings of Leaps of Faith on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 625 W. Adams in the West Loop. Screenings of this one-hour documentary are at 12:30pm and 6:00pm. Following each presentation will be a discussion of the film with husband and wife Rabbis Ari and Evan Moffic, and Father Tom Hurley.

Admission and parking free, and Makom members are especially welcomed. Contact Bob Sallinger (bsallinger@gmail.com) for further details.
