Kol Nidre starts our Day of Atonement or Day of At-one-ment, as we at Makom Shalom think of it. We approach the review of our year’s efforts and challenges with compassion. How have you lived your life and achieved your goals as desired? Where did you miss the mark?
During the Holy Days, we also collect donations for a group in need and this year we are collecting for the Night Ministry. This is a Chicago-based organization that works to provide housing, health care and human connection to members of our community struggling with poverty or homelessness. We ask that you bring items to donate to services on Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur. Items in need include CTA bus cards, gift cards and toiletries like toothpaste / brushes, deodorant, razors, shampoo etc.
High Holiday ticket rates are as follows...
$100 per service
Students and Seniors $75/service
Kids under age 13 are free
