Join us as we celebrate the new year in our home at Broadway UMC at 3338 N. Broadway in Chicago. Makom Shalom is known for meaningful and personally enriching services. Enjoy the sweet sounds of Reb Michael's cantorial voice as well High Holyday Songleader Ali Buckman. Ali has a beautiful voice, soulful compositions and is well versed in contemporary Jewish music. If you haven't met her already, she will be singing at all the High Holyday services.
This Rosh Hashanah, we are starting a new tradition. The Rosh Hashanah evening service is called "Koloteinu - our voices." Building on a practice we started over the summer, members of the congregation are invited to participate in the service by reading spiritual passages of their own choosing. To participate in this manner please select a prayer or a poem or other text that expresses something important to you. Then, send that text to Reb Michael so he can place it in an appropriate part of the service. In order to allow for as many people as want to to participate, we need texts up to about 250 words long.
Only the front door to Church is open, if you park in lot, you need to walk around to front door.
High Holiday ticket rates are as follows...
Adults $100 per service, or $350 for all 4 services (Purchase of $350 gets first year of membership included)
Seniors $75/service
Young Adults 19-26 $18/service
18 and under free
Childcare will be available during the September 30 and October 9 morning services (9:30-1:30), Please indicate on your ticket purchase if you need childcare and for how many children.

PARKING AND COMMUTING OPTIONS
There is a small lot behind Broadway UMC and there is usually plenty of metered street parking. There are also several public garages in the area.
Use the Spot Hero app or website (www.spothero.com) to find parking near Broadway United, often at a reasonable rate. Spot Hero can direct you to many available spaces in the neighborhood, some in public garages, some in public lots, and some on private property.
